This morning Steve and I headed to Bath on the train for a spot of Christmas shopping. I met up with the always lovely Lou for some girly shopping and a delicious lunch. Such a luxury to have a bit of grown-up time without the girls for a change. I'm starting to feel rather festive now- especially after my first mulled wine of the season!

birthday pearl
Happy birthday to little Pearl who turned 3 on Friday. She had the most wonderful birthday party yesterday and we're all exhausted today as a consequence. So today we're having a pj day, the first one in living memory- and it feels good!
Happy Sunday x

you make me forget myself
Such a perfect day- a crisp, autumn woody walk and my first eggnog latte of the season.
Sorry it's been a while. I haven't been doing anything
interesting enough to warrant such a long absence, but have found myself
busy with a new job and various tedious things that inevitably fill up
adult life. I'm still spending most evenings at the gym burning more
flab and am going to dance classes three times per week to keep it fun.
I've lost 38 pounds since August and am halfway to my goal weight, so
feeling pretty proud of myself, but still a little sad that my crafty
hobbies have had to be shelved for the time being; I guess you can't
have everything!
Back soon x
