It's not much fun being cooped up in quarantine when you're 3. Pearl is a very sociable tot and loves being out and about- especially in places that involve eating, but naturally the chicken pox has put the muckers on that this weekend. So this afternoon we thought we'd try and cheer her up by creating her very own café in the girls' bedroom.
Pearl carefully took our orders from her little playhouse/shop and served us all delicious cakes, juicy fresh strawberries and yummy pink milk. Service par excellence!
Clearly, nobody is every too poorly to eat a ladybird-shaped chocolate truffle!

Poor little thing - hope she is better soon
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea!!! And looks sooooo yummy : )
ReplyDeleteI want to see that cake on your fitness plan later! Ahem! What a lovely way to get better! You got that sausage dog then. xx
ReplyDeleteOh bless her. I remember very well the weekend when I had chicken pox. I missed out on a lot of outdoor and crafting fun with my cousins and was thoroughly unimpressed! I wish I'd had a cafe in my bedroom with cakes as good as those - what a brilliant idea. I will suggest it to all my patients! Hope she feels better soon. Xxx
ReplyDeleteSweet little Pearl, hope is will be all better very soon. There is nothing better than playing shop/cafe/library when you are a wee one. My Alice spent many an hour role playing when she was wee too. It's a precious thing xox
ReplyDeleteI want a ladybird shaped chocolate truffle ;)
ReplyDeleteHope she's soon on the mend and able to get out & about again.
Poor thing - great way to cheer things up though! I hope she's feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteAww what a wee shame. Chicken pox is no fun... thankfully I had mine at the same time as my cousin, we made cakes and made the adults eat them too :) No ladybird truffles though! Hope she's better soon x
ReplyDeleteWe have the chicken pox too! Poor little ones.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect way to feel better though!
Aw poor thing, at least she's not too spotty though, my poor boys were smothered. Love the look of the cafe, I couldn't eat anything when I had the pox (at 17), they were in my mouth and back of my throat too!
