Happy Saturday everyone, I for one am delighted to see the sunshine peeping through the clouds on this January morning.
This week, I picked up a gorgeous scrap of thrifted vintage fabric and decided it would be perfect for a little freestyle embroidery hoop, but I was rather indecisive about picking a subject. In the end, I thought I'd stick to what I know...
I'm so pleased with how doodley my lidded casserole dish turned out, and the randomly sized lazy daisies seem to lend themselves so well to giving the impression of a vintage Pyrex design.
I love the sunny tangerine tones too- just the perfect remedy for those threatening January blues!
No wonder you're pleased with yourself. It's beautiful and cheery.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You have really inspired me - time to get creative!
ReplyDeleteThat is ACE well done
ReplyDeleteThat is simply splendid! I have seen and loved similar things on Etsy, but never thought of making one myself. For now, I will just admire your beautiful work, but you may have inspired me to have a go myself one day too. Xx
ReplyDeleteHow brilliant! I'm really into that colour at the moment, it's so bright and warm.

It is really beautiful and I too like how you've designed the dish! Works perfectly against that background.
ReplyDeleteI just recently got bought some embroidery hoops for my birthday, but I'm a tad unsure what to do! I've never really done it before except very odd occasions at School a long time ago.
Do people tend to just do one design in the one hoop and leave it in there for display? (This is prob such a silly Q!)
Anyhow! I love yours!! x
Charley it's beautiful! Did you do the straight stitches on the sewing machine? I want to make one, I have hoop here...might do it on Monday at work! lou xx
